The Eastern Regional Library Show 7th September 2011

Library staff members Lyn Baines, Jessica Bonner and Pia Butcher run a radio show each Wednesday 12:05pm-12:45pm on Eastern FM 98.1 called The Eastern Regional Library Show. Tune in next week for a great show.

On today's show

On today's Eastern Regional Libraries show on Eastern FM, Lyn Baines reviewed the latest in Alexander McCall Smith's 44 Scotland Street series, Bertie Plays the Blues. Bertie, the put-upon 6 year old son of over-achieving Irene, decides that he's had enough of Italian conversazione and visits to the psychotherapist. He decides to put himself up for adoption on eBay. Meanwhile, Matthew and Elspeth are coming to terms with being parents of triplets & Angus and Domenica's wedding plans are put in jeopardy by the arrival of an old flame from Domenica's past. Bertie Plays the Blues is another gently humorous instalment in the lives of the inhabitants of an Edinburgh apartment block. Lyn also reviewed the latest Chief Inspector Wexford novel by Ruth Rendell, The Vault.

Music from the Bee Gees and Simon and Garfunkel.
