Coming up this month is the Melbourne Writers Festival. You won't want to miss the series of professional workshops and masterclasses including:

Even if you're not a writer there are plenty of great events including the Big Ideas series at RMIT. Sessions include:

Does the end justify the means? with David Kilcullen (counterinsurgency expert) and Julian Burnside (barrister and human rights advocate)

Life, the Universe and Nothing with Theoretical Physicist Lawrence M Krauss who will discuss future of the Universe itself.

The festival is jam-packed so check out the official MWF website for the program of events.

Cheers, Maryanne
